Kylie earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Cornell University and began her professional career teaching high school science in Jacksonville, Florida. After leaving the traditional classroom, Kylie worked with various organizations, including with the North Florida Health Corps, YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, and Healthy Jacksonville Childhood Obesity Coalition on projects ranging from curriculum development to policy research and advocacy. Before venturing back north to pursue her master’s degree at Columbia, Kylie managed a 21st Century Community Learning Center where she focused on STEM-based programming and project-based learning. Prior to joining the America On Tech team, Kylie worked with the Harlem Children’s Zone where she was responsible for implementing and managing the Employment and Technology Center’s STEM immersion program model.
A forever student advocate and lifelong learner, Kylie is super excited to be working with the America On Tech team to ensure that all NYC students have an equal opportunity to explore the technology sector, equipped with the knowledge and the skills to make waves.
