Sulin Carling is Senior Program Manager in the Housing, Economic & Infrastructure Planning Division of the NYC Department of City Planning (DCP). At DCP, Sulin leads economic development efforts with a focus on neighborhood and citywide planning for the 21st century economy. She has led plans for emerging employment districts and evolving industrial neighborhoods, and she spearheaded a comprehensive study of the changing uses of storefronts and the future of retail in New York City.
Previously, Sulin was a Director at HR&A Advisors, an economic development and real estate consulting firm, where she specialized in managing large-scale economic development projects for both public and private sector clients in New York, across the U.S., and abroad. Sulin holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design
